1What is Shopify Flow?
Shopify Flow is Shopify's built-in automation platform. It lets you create 'If → Then' workflows with events from Shopify and connected apps as triggers and actions.
2Reviewifyd triggers available in Flow
Reviewifyd exposes the following trigger events to Shopify Flow:
- 1Review submitted — fires when any new review is submitted (pending or auto-approved).
- 2Review approved — fires when a review is approved and goes live.
- 3Review rejected — fires when a review is rejected.
- 45-star review submitted — fires specifically when a 5-star review is submitted.
- 51-star or 2-star review submitted — fires for negative reviews, great for triggering a support alert.
3Example workflow: tag happy customers
This workflow adds a 'VIP Reviewer' tag to customers who leave a 5-star review:
- 1In Shopify admin go to Apps → Flow and click 'Create workflow'.
- 2Set trigger: 'Reviewifyd — 5-star review submitted'.
- 3Add action: 'Update customer' → Tags → Add tag 'VIP Reviewer'.
- 4Save and enable the workflow.
💡
You can use Flow with Klaviyo to automatically enroll 5-star reviewers into a loyalty email sequence — a powerful retention strategy.
4Example workflow: alert team for negative reviews
Get an instant Slack message when a 1 or 2-star review is submitted:
- 1Trigger: 'Reviewifyd — 1 or 2-star review submitted'.
- 2Action: 'Send a Slack message' with the review text and customer name.
