When you create an account, install the Reviewifyd app, or contact our support team, we collect information such as your name, email address, Shopify store URL, and billing details.

1.2 Information collected automatically

When you use our service, we automatically collect certain technical data including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and actions taken within the app dashboard.

1.3 Customer review data

As part of our service, we process review data submitted by your end customers (shoppers), including their names, email addresses, star ratings, written reviews, and any photos or videos they upload. This data is processed on your behalf as a data processor.

1.4 Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve our service. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the app.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Reviewifyd service
• Process transactions and send related billing information
• Send automated review request emails on your behalf
• Respond to support tickets and customer service requests
• Improve and personalise your experience with the app
• Monitor usage patterns and diagnose technical issues
• Send product updates, promotional materials, and newsletters (you can opt out at any time)
• Comply with legal obligations

3.1 Service providers

We share data with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate our service — such as cloud hosting providers, payment processors, email delivery services, and analytics platforms. These providers are contractually obligated to use your data only to perform services for us.

3.2 Shopify

Reviewifyd is a Shopify app. When you install our app, we access your store data through Shopify's API in accordance with Shopify's Partner Program Agreement. We only request the permissions necessary to deliver our service.

3.3 Legal requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

3.4 Business transfers

If Reviewifyd is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

3.5 No selling of data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your customers' personal information to any third parties for marketing purposes.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you uninstall the Reviewifyd app, we will delete or anonymise your store's data within 30 days, unless we are legally required to retain it for a longer period.

Review data (ratings, text, photos, and videos) submitted by your customers is retained as long as you maintain an active account. You may delete individual reviews or request a full data export at any time from the app dashboard.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Erasure — request deletion of your personal data ('right to be forgotten')
• Restriction — request that we limit how we process your data
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing
• Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time

Reviewifyd is committed to compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Economic Area (EEA). We act as a data processor for the personal data of your end customers, and you (the merchant) are the data controller.

When we transfer personal data outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include SSL/TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, access controls, and regular security audits.

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but will notify you in the event of a data breach as required by applicable law.

Our service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.
