Setting up your first review widget
Configure and position your product review widget to display social proof exactly where shoppers need it most.
1What is a review widget?
A review widget is a section that displays customer reviews on your storefront. Reviewifyd offers several widget types: Star Summary (shows average rating), Review List (shows full reviews), and Review Carousel (sliding cards).
2Choosing a widget type
From your Reviewifyd dashboard, navigate to Widgets → Product Page. You can choose from three layouts:
- 1Grid — reviews displayed in a responsive card grid. Best for stores with many reviews.
- 2List — reviews stacked vertically with full review text. Best for detailed, text-heavy reviews.
- 3Carousel — reviews in a horizontal slider. Best for mobile-first stores.
Start with Grid or Carousel — they perform best on mobile devices, which account for over 60% of Shopify traffic.
3Customizing the widget
In the Widget Editor you can adjust:
- 1Primary color — used for stars, buttons, and accents. Set to your brand color.
- 2Font — choose from 8 preset font stacks, or inherit your theme's font.
- 3Reviews per page — how many reviews to show before the 'Load more' button appears.
- 4Review card style — flat or with shadow.
- 5Show/hide reviewer country flags and verified badges.
4Positioning the widget on your product page
After saving your widget settings, head to the Shopify Theme Editor (Online Store → Themes → Customize). Under the product template, add a new section and select 'Reviewifyd Reviews'. Drag it to your preferred position — typically below the product description.
5Previewing and publishing
Click 'Preview' in the Theme Editor to see the widget before going live. When you are happy with the result, click 'Save'. Changes are published instantly.
Use your browser's device toolbar (F12 in Chrome) to preview the widget on mobile and tablet screen sizes.
