A review widget that looks out of place on your store erodes trust rather than building it. Shoppers notice when UI elements feel like third-party add-ons — and it makes them question whether the reviews themselves are genuine.

Tip 1: Match your brand's primary font

This is the single quickest win. In Reviewifyd's widget settings, set the font family to match the body font your Shopify theme uses. Most themes use Inter, DM Sans, or a Google Font that's easy to match. A consistent typeface makes the widget feel native to your store.

Tip 2: Use your exact brand color for stars and CTAs

Avoid the default yellow stars if yellow doesn't appear anywhere else in your design. Use your brand's primary or accent color for star ratings and the 'Write a review' button. This creates visual harmony across the page.

Tip 3: Adjust border radius to match your theme's card style

If your theme uses sharp-edged cards (border-radius: 0), set your review cards to match. If your theme is rounded and friendly (border-radius: 12px+), mirror that. This subtle change has a big effect on how integrated the widget feels.

Tip 4: Control the widget's position on the page

Most Shopify themes place reviews far below the fold. Consider moving your star rating badge and review count directly under the product title — before the add-to-cart button. This placement alone can increase the number of shoppers who engage with your reviews.

Tip 5: Hide empty states gracefully

For new products with no reviews yet, configure Reviewifyd to hide the review section entirely rather than displaying 'No reviews yet.' An empty section removes trust rather than adding it. Once you have at least 3 reviews, enable the widget for that product.
